How far can Kenny take us?

The reason I ask this is mainly down to the reaction of almost every single 'neutral' fan on here basically dismissing our club as has-beens and mocking our obvious resurgence!

It's got to the point where I find myself constantly defending Kenny and Clarke and the summer signings, trying in vain to point out just how much better we are playing this season compared to last season!

We finished 7th years 2 ago, 6th last year which is (slow) progress and our club itself is financially secure which has brought a real sense of optimism on the kop on matchdays once again!

The only reason we finished in a semi-respectable position last season was purely down to Kenny Clarke and this newly found energy on the pitch, even the young lads have performed every time they are needed!

I can see nothing but positives for our club right now, so why is it impossible to have a reasonable debate with other 'fans' without the laughing smileys every comment, they simply don't take us seriously.

"Jose was more negative than Rafa"

I don't agree, Jose may not have been a flair coach but he always set out to win games, even when he had that amazing home record he would risk losing it by throwing caution to try and win the match.

Silky. Serious question about your lot. How do you see things going, off the field that is, do you want Kenwright out and what is all this blue union stufff?

Tommy

I can't figure Rafa at times either. I think he's Achilles heel was always his relationship with the owners of the club. He had a superb set up at Valencia and beat Barca and Real to la liga which was an immense achievement.

He wanted to push on but funds were limited so he left in acrimonious circumstances. I still say Valencia is where Rafa left his heart.

When he came to Liverpool he had us going in the right direction until his fall out with Hicks and Gillette about lack of funds. The rant at Ferguson was his frustration with his own situation at Liverpool as rants so often are. You divert attention away from the real issue.

Sad really, I lived in Spain at the time and loved the Spanish influence Rafa brought, but we have to move on and I'm glad Kenny was the man our new owners turned to. We will be stronger this year but as the old saying goes "one game at a time"

So as we were saying,Arsenal will continue this decline until they realise wenger is not a genius after all,so 4th spot is just there for the taking

Like i said you'd not bet your life on arsenal getting a win. take todays game they score 3 and still lose. And Blackburn arent the best scorers in the league..

Since Kenny took over late January our league points total is ranked 3rd in the league!

Before he took over we were in the bottom half!

As I said in the op, our resurgence is encouraging!
