Obvious FA cup draw fixing

Corporate interests in the game is going to kill any kind of Magic

The "big four" kept apart for 2nd year running

Game is dying year by year

FFP keeps the top teams at the top
FA and other governing bodies bowing to sponsors demands for hig profile teams at Wembley
Grass routes at its worse state for years
Teams refusing to play unknown youngsters

its very true that money corrupts, i would not be surprised if there is an element of match fixing and if not we are not far away from it becoming "sports entertainment" pre determined results played out like a soap opera.

really going off football

i was a senior guy at the best consultancy firm in teh world-we had a rule-where big money is involved, the outcome is too important to be left to chance.

so by definition all big money outcomes have to be fixed in favour of the incumbent-stock markets, horse racing, football (remember Italy a few yrs ago), etc etc

How much more money does it make them having four big sides in the semi finals?

I'd guess the semis get decent figures no matter what the games are, whereas now they have no decent quarter final ties and people will probably only watch their own sides.

Doesnt the FA cup final always sell out?

It’s not about selling out the stadium allocation. It’s about selling the TV rights to world. Top teams will sell more for the semis and final. Would the final FA cup sell the TV more if it was Wigan vs Rochdale ?

Agreed, they just turn into mudbaths underfoot as soon as there's a bit of rain. The FA should just concrete over the lot of them and be done with it.

This

The money from Wembley's tickets is nothing compared to the money generated by the TV right to the others countries.
The 3 Wembley games last years has probably generated more than they could have actually dreamed off and I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 big games this season too.

Do the TV rights get negotiated and sold abroad for every individual round then? Genuine question. I would have thought it was sorted at the start of the tournament?
