Bolton Wanderers v Sunderland

Big match tonight. Probably the biggest of the season for both clubs as Chelsea play Barcelona in the champions league. Meanwhile at the macron 2 dog poor teams struggling against relegation face off in a genuine 6 pointer. Bolton in 20th still with a 2 point cushion from the relegation zone despite 2 away defeats have a decent home record and is key to survival. The last 5 is won 3,lost 2. Sunderland in 23rd with 4 points less than bolton have a better away form than bolton with wins at forest, Norwich and Burton and creditable draws at wolves, brentford, Preston, Hull, and Sheffield Wednesday. Not an easy game for a seemingly fragile team and manager. Team news. Little suspended and vela is injured. Will brown, Pratley, noone and Buckley may be fit enough to be involved tonight. What pp comes up with is anyones guess. Personally I would return to a flat back 4, alf up top with clough replacing vela and Flanagan replacing little. Might be a bit too simple for pp that.

Only one good thing to come out of the new proposals for the transfer window. If any of our players has a good start to the season, (yeah right), they can't be sold till January.

Not too keen on their new description of what constitutes a "full strength" team from March onward. (From this season).

I've heard Kirchhoff described as a Rolls Royce player with Alfa Romeo parts.

Hull play tonight hope we don't suffer any injuries in the half time bar crush at the team hotel.

It's said that Jan can pass a ball so we may be able to get someone on the end of it.

The problem we have is that our new free recruits are never ready to step into the team and PP is never sure when they are ready. It could be a while before Jan gets a game.

I suppose the one thing going for him is that he's at least got a bit of game time albeit in the U23's.

Sunderland fans suggesting he did better under Allardcye when he was instructed to make interceptions and pass the ball about rather than run about and tackle lots.

Bad start to the weekend football. Now is the time to show an improvement and pick up something away from home having looked at home fixtures we can't rely on them alone to keep us up.
Perhaps Benny's absence will spur them on and PP will improve on his before during and after match speeches then again pigs could always fly in a group of serious investors and save the day

Ken the executioner steps in to give PP a hand with a pre team talk players message as he looks to exploit the end of contract dates coming over the horizon.
