Kanté or Pogba?

It is stupid to compare these two players as one is a defensive midfielder and the other is an attacking midfielder.I like both players and I feel that Pogba gets unfairly criticised.Same Chelsea and other football fans criticising Pogba nowadays fail to admit that they all wanted Pogba to sign for their own club when he signed for Man U and were jealous of Man U when they re-signed Pogba.I say this despite me being a person who does not like Man U even a little bit.

Kante is a class player and as Chelsea fans we are all grateful that he is a Chelsea player.Thanks Brummie for agreeing and concurring with my stated view.

Kante is better defensively, Pogba offensively

utter no brainer question this...Kante so much more effective at what he excels at - for a third of the price

I have to admit I definitely wanted Pogba at Chelsea, I remember the summer we got Cesc, Costa and Filipe Luis we were interested in Pogba then again the following summer it came out we made a formal £72M offer but didn't want to pay an agents fee, This however was all before the emergence of Kanté.

I would still take Pogba at Chelsea in a heartbeat, Im not saying I dont rate the guy, I definitely do and I agree with the United fans who say he isn't used correctly however I just rate Kanté higher, I just feel that because Pogba cost £89M and can often look was on the eye fans think he's better than what he is - he's a very good player with the potential to be world class.

It's bs because Pogba doesn't get unfairly criticised. He's bang average 9 times out of 10. Kante is exceptionally good (pretty much) every week.

I have never rated Pogba that highly and I've certainly never 'creamed' anything. I just don't buy the world class mythos that surrounds him.

You don’t rate him at all? Find that a little strange. His ability is there for all to see, he can be sensational but it’s all too infrequent.

It’s a little bit like Ozil in that he can be fantastic but the same criticisms also tend to apply. Lazy, inconsistent, doesn’t perform in the big games etc etc. But the ability is generally not questioned.

Apparently he’s still incredibly well thought of in Italy from his time with Juve.

I’d still take Kante over him because Kante is doing it week in, week out right now. But there is definitely a player in Pogba underneath all the dabbing and other bs.

I said I don't rate him that highly. Cesc is a better player and his knees have fallen off. Probably excel at Juve though.

You came up with a carte blanche single word non answer to cover his whole comment to which there were elements of truth in.

I'll agree with you that he's not the messiah that everyone thought he was but if you're going to give such an wide arching and derogatory one word comment you need to stipulate what you're actually referring to, to avoid being taken out of context!

I'd take Kante. Best DM in the league while you can replace Pogba with a handful of midfielders who can do the same job at a similar level.
