The Spurs machine rolls on

Still unbeaten in 2018, having played:
Arsenal (home),
Manchester United (home),
Liverpool (away),
and Juventus (away)
these fixtures being predicted by so many keyboard warrior fans on here as going to push Spurs out of the top 4.

Against Liverpool we deserved to win it after strangling their midfield for all of the second half (66% possession) and against Juve, coming back and scoring 2 goals against a side that does not concede that many for many seasons.

We have switched our play to counter the opponents who like to park the bus and play us on "counterattack".
Yesterday, Kane pulled to the wings and Dele played through the midfield, dropping slightly deep and Son with the freedom to attack the flank, drifting inside whenever.
I think this momentum we have now is understated when you think we have been effectively playing all "away" games, though we have now made it our "home" now.
Also having to adjust in a major way to the pitch dimensions of Wembley and having injuries to key players - Toby being one of them and Wanyama the other. Not forgetting injuries to Rose and Kane was out for a fair few games.

Spurs are slowly upping the ante, whilst Liverpool are already as good as it gets for them. A midfield with players like Henderson, Milner only takes you so far.

The way the Pool players were time wasting and play acting to stop the flow of the game in that second half tells you everything, they were being completely schooled and knew it, they were once again lucky to escape with a draw.

I agree with Sandy, Pool are playing as good as they can at the moment, they have no key injuries and a settled team, their levels can`t go any higher than they are right now. A couple of injuries and they could easily have a dip, they may have a dip regardless, it`s difficult to maintain top levels for a length of time.

Spurs on the other hand, have picked up results in second gear and with a catalogue of injuries, there is a higher level to reach yet imo.
