I found out this week that, apparently, Opta (who provide stats to the PL) do their possession % stats by number of completed passes.
I just cannot believe that City only had 71% possession against Chelsea.
Opta possession stats are rubbish

That was the most tedious game I've been to since the home Derby last season.
Chelsea singing about being Champions of Europe?
It'll be a generation before they'll be singing it again on that display.

Still can't fill the ground though. What was with the big glaring block of empty seats behind the goal in the home end? They were all clumped together and only few rows off the pitch. Very odd indeed. Is that some ticket promoter's allocation or something? (Genuine question)
PS: We'll be coming to do the same as Chelsea most likely in a few weeks. Take a book.

Yes, because City foolishly sell blocks of prime seats to agencies.
United have the sense to sell the best seats to season ticket holders and the naff seats at the back to agencies.

how many points do you get for possesion. And as for stats of cities 902 passes how many were made over five meters and in Chelseas half about 200 maybe standing in a triangle in your own half while Chelsea did nothing but wait, hardly makes you Barcelona bare scrapes you in over Arsenal.

It's horrendous how you have so many empty seats in the lower tier. That system seems barmy to me.
We have them hidden in the quadrants and top of East Stand so they aren't very noticeable. You can see them from my seat in the stretty of those in the NW quadrant.

I prefer the second and third tiers anyway tbh. I did used to go in the family stand a fair bit.
