missed opportunity

omw back from game, they were their for the taking, they were so open first half, if we were clinical we could have been 3 up at ht. Juve have the experience but a city or Liverpool will rip them apart imo.

No one rips apart juventus. They are a serious outfit. 2 finals in 3 years. They know what they are doing

Poch is a brilliant coach but he’s no tactician. That for me is the part that’s missing - that ability to respond tactically during a game which Allegri did brilliantly.

This leg he did. But he facked it up in the first by playing a two In mf against spurs, with Dembele. . There’s a good article on him in the guardian, but of a maverick coach. Fair play his tactics won the match.

Easy to make these comments when you loose a game.. Doubt Spurs we would be in the top 4 for a few years running if he is a poor tactician. You can pick holes in any managers team tactics after a game is lost.

Maybe Poch lacks the luck lol.

I think BlackStarr is right, when they made their changes Dele, who had been kicked out of the game, should have been taken off for Lamela and we should’ve moved to a 433. Little differences like that would have changed the game.

I'm not gonna wum Tottenham as it's happened enough times to us. However maybe now you know how tough this tournament is. The experience will do you good although it is a missed opportunity.

Not so sure that liverpool would knock them out. Juve were more clinical and they shut the game out when it mattered most - something spurs havent mastered and Liverpool have struggled with

We have a better attack with better movement though, and are not reliant on one player. I think we would do more damage than Spurs managed.

Son?

I would agree with that, Spurs are out because Poch was tactically outdone by Allegri for a 5-10min spell, had he responded quicker they would be through.

Also thought Kane was unusually subdued.

Was at the game last night too! - Sadly not to be... Good learning experience for us, however, feel slightly annoyed Poch didn't make the right subs at the right times. Son took a right kicking last night and was struggling after 65mins - should have come off and put Luca on just to add some pace and someone who has the potential to open up a defence as Juve just sat back after getting their 2nd and made it difficult for us. It just comes down to experience, which they have and we'll hopefully learn over the next couple of seasons if we keep the same group of players. Proud of the effort, the better team lost over 2 legs, however, football doesn't work that way! Juve were more clinical with their chances and know how to see a game out!
