I never said he went hiding. He had games when he was off form and didn't contribute much. When he tried but his passes went astray and he got bullied off the ball. I am a huge fan of Santi, but I am also realistic and honest. I saw those games and I remember them. It's not even a criticism, all players have quiet games. As was said, he is now being built up into some kind of footballing god and it's stupid.
As for your weird Ozil comment - grow up.

Two very different things! Going missing means being off form. Hiding is a deliberate ploy. Santi would never go hiding! As I said, I rate him highly, one of our legends to me.

We only lost 3 times in the first 22 games, it went downhill after then - a long time after Santi got injured.

You’ve never said a bad thing about Ozil on here and brought him into a conversation that has nothing to do with him hence my ‘weird comment’

Ozil maybe is more naturally talented but he never has nor ever will be as reliable for Arsenal as Santi was

I'm not comparing them as players, just pointing out the weird way fans view some players. One gets a free ride and is NEVER criticized,the other gets slated every day on here for no reason. Yea Cazorla played the full game but he was injured

As Wenger said he finished the match on one leg. 14/15 season Cazorla was benched or on the wing up until December. Ozil got injured and he played central, we went from 8th to 3rd and won the FA Cup. 2nd half of the season was some of the best football we’ve played in the last 10 years.

And we scored 28 goals in 11 games last season with Santi in the team. We were joint top when he got injured and 3 points ahead of Chelsea. We ended up 5th and god knows how many points behind them

You can throw out all the spin and pointless stats that you want but everybody knows that you are wrong yet again. Nobody thinks Santi is a football god or make everything right again but you coming out with stupid statements like ‘we were shiiiit with Santi’ in the team shows you up yet again.
