Mourinho forgets

I remember not being behind the hiring of Mourinho as we just had 3 years of utter dross and I'd not looked forward to our games like I did under Sir Alex.

Well Mourinho was hired and after his first press conference I thought I'd give him a chance because:
"What is playing well? It is scoring more goals than the opponents, conceding less, making your fans proud because you give everything and you win. It is everything at the same time."
This statement has somehow been forgotten by Jose and none of these things seem to matter to him anymore.
Do we score a lot? No
Are we tight at the back? No
Are the fans proud? Hell no.

If we lose to Brighton should he go?

To be fair to him, we do usually score more than the opponent, we do usually concede less, and we do usually win.

If anything, he's saying how you win doesn't matter, only that you do so. Which sums his approach us perfectly.

We don't nearly often enough give everything though. That's the only part he mentioned in his statement that he hasn't delivered against.

Let's be honest Manchester United were utter pash last night, could you imagine the scoreline if Sevilla didn't decide to rest their top scorer for an hour!

Humped at home by an average Spanish team

poor show

He's top scorer because he's their super sub.

Came on and scored one or two against us, I don't think he actually starts very often.

He's just signed a new deal. You have CL next season. That is more than enough to save him.

I agree it will do but we can all see where this is heading eventually, forced out by his own style.

He must change his style or lose his job.

Mourinho has to go. I am happy for us to bring in a young manager that plays exciting football, albeit we may miss out on champs league etc. Fans are fed up of this rubbish we are served week in, week out.

Have to say, as a neutral Spurs fan, I now loathe United when they used to be my second team (as I have a lot of United fans in my family). They had a youth policy to admire, only spent money that was earned through success, not handed on a plate and played the kind of football the world would envy. I cannot believe with all the money he's spent he can't at least fashion an attractive football side. The best players at United are up top, yet they're considered secondary to the defensive default plan. I do wonder what AF must be thinking watching this side. Although he's played the last couple of games, I'm amazed Rashford doesn't get regular starts. That boy is as good as Mbappe, no question. He'll go right to the very top but his development is being hampered, not only by not starting many games but by the style of football he's tasked with playing. It's a shame. This is not the United way. You guys have some patience that's for sure. If I'd seen that success of the last 25 years at my club, I'm not sure I'd tolerate what Jose is doing at the club now.

I fear it won't be long before the players force him out.

I bet they're already in discussions behind the scenes. Pogba looked like he chucked it months ago.
