If we do boycott the world cup and our allies Germany and France do not, will this impact Brexit negotiations, and if so,how ?

There is no plan for the team to boycott the World Cup, its for the diplomat hangers on. The team would probably be happier if they did
The best way for her to get unity in support would be to raise it on the Nato Security Council then these countries would be duty bound to abide by the decision taken.

Southgate has an iron clad, 270 minute plan that will ensure we boycott the latter stages of the WC.

England will do their best to boycott the world cup in the last 16.......sadly like we did last night

There's not a chance the fa will boycott the world cup... There are fifa rules against government involvement in national associations business
The England team would face a ban from football... Not sure if clubs would be affected re uefa comps tho
The boycott is for officials and diplomats, and other hangers on

We dont need to negotiate Brexit from the World Cup in Russia.
We just turn up and play 3 games.
Then it happens automatically.

A) Russia isn't in the EU.
B) This is the World Cup not Euros so the exiting Europe analogy falls flat.
C) I hate lists

I did indeed, my comment was directed at another comment rather than the OP.

There’s nothing they can do to Russia to REALLY hurt them and this was one of the best “on the hoof” ideas the government could come up with.
Football fans don’t want politicians spreading their slimy tentickes into sport, and Russia don’t care if Prince William doesn’t attend...probably.
