But i have just read a piece supposedly from our Mr Gray saying hes targeting a full England place. How about being good enough and consistent enough and get 10 goals a season to secure your LCFC place first or am i being harsh?
I know its nearly the April fools day

It's his decision making TB i have seen no improvement given the chances he's been given. So lets see if he can make a step up but cut out the chat.

Boothroyd has given him a compliment and it has gone to his head. This seems to be a common theme with Gray. He has the ‘potential’ to be a reasonable player at Premier League level at the moment. No more, no less. Unfortunately, I believe that he has the attitude and opinion that he is already not only Premier League class but international class. I actually believe it’s this self-assessment which is limiting his progress. He has improved with regard to tracking back somewhat and trying to get his head up at times, but his shooting is still very average and his decision making very immature at times. His biggest quality: dribbling, hasn’t really improved and certainly not enough to cover up for his areas for improvement. He doesn’t come close to Mahrez, is being pushed for a place on the bench IMO by Diabaté and in Albrighton; isn’t as a good as a winger who (perhaps unfairly) hasn’t even been called up at all into the international squad that Gray is referencing. To be fair, I haven’t read the quote but as usual, I am left thinking about the same cliched advice ‘let your boots do the talking’
Re: Chilwell. I am more concerned because I genuinely saw a potentially great full/wing back in the making. Still raw and young, but going in the right direction quickly. Unfortunately, I think this insistence by Puel on getting full backs forward has meant his defensive ability has regressed. I don’t ever see him being good enough to be a winger, so we really need to concentrate on the defensive basics before adding to his arsenal in terms of attacking intent.

I spotted this and thought it was an interesting coincidence that it came in a week when Marc Albrighton was stating that he’s given up on playing for England.
Now I wouldn’t advocate the inclusion of either of them at this current time, but the comparison is an interesting one. Gray is an irregular starter for us and has consistently fallen short of the level his natural ability suggests he might get to. Albrighton is a Premier League winner, a real team player, makes the most of his limitations and rarely lets Leicester down.
If Albrighton was picked for England I’d expect him to “do a job” wherever he was asked to play. He’d unlikely be the best performer on the pitch, but he probably wouldn’t let anyone down. Compare that to Gray who’d likely be exposed for the player he is. It’s really frustrating that he still falls so short of his own hype in terms of his ability as a player.

lets be honest with him .he is our version of Nicholas Bentner at Arsenal a few years ago.He thinks he is better than what he is.

He's a quality dribbler, but he really needs to become so much more than that. Awareness, final ball and influence upon the game are nowhere near good enough. (Work rate has improved under Puel but still needs further improvement.)
I'm happy that he has ambition to play for England but he's surely getting way ahead of himself if he thinks he's anywhere near the main squad at the moment. Although having said that, he's done enough to catch the eye of pundits who seem to think he's underplayed and doesn't get enough of a chance - pundits who don't see him going missing when he does get chances.

Should i take back my OP both Chilwell and Gray played well for their country and both where captain during the game, that must be a first to LCFC captains in the same game for England.
Time to take that form into the City and aim to be consistent.

Saw MA mentioned above and then saw this article.
Leicester star Marc Albrighton must have run over Gareth Southgate’s cat… why else wouldn’t he be in the England squad?
Foxes star is the best English crosser of a ball playing regular Premier League football, but still doesn't get the nod

TB he's just like Guppy not quite good enough despite our love for them so i am not surprised but you never know.
