OK, now that the dust has settled

on another great Spurs win yesterday, this time at Stamford Bridge, what should be the aims for the season. Obviously FA Cup has to be a priority, but still going to be hard to win that. The Top Four needs to be sealed, but with Spurs fixtures, that should be a formality. Need to be aiming at 2nd again. Back to back runners up would be excellent, considering most of the media and rival fans said Spurs playing at Wembley would be a hindrance, and sixth place would be as good as it gets. CL for a third season running, going into the the new stadium would send out a message to our rivals, that Spurs despite selling the odd player (although no more than all the other clubs), are here to stay for a bit.

The other rather pressing problem is because Spurs have been so good since Harry was injured. Who is Poch going to leave out to accommodate his impending return next week at Stoke. Probably be one of Son or Lamela, which would be tough, considering how influential they have been since his injury. But the main man surely has to return doesn`t he?

Toby looks like he is on his way out, wouldn`t be surprised to see Rose go either. Need to trouser as much as possible, and preferably sell both abroad. Don`t want to be strengthening our rivals. Would be nice if both were to knuckle down, but it seems they have both been put out at having to fight for their place, and have had their heads wrongfully turned in my opinion, by the offer of more money.

Anyway whatever, Spurs have been doing fine without either for most of the season, so we shall just move on, and trust in Poch.

2nd and FA Cup is dream land for me

Sandy, the top four will stay as is.
Had we won yesterday we still wouldn't make it!

Hopefully Kane has come back stronger than when he got injured. He may have needed that bit of a rest and focus to get him up to scratch, in which case it won't really matter who he comes in for. Still, I wouldn't have a problem if he wasn't started for the next game and came on late again.

Momentum in the final stages is the key. Spurs for the last thee seasons have managed to gain momentum when it matters.

However, top 4 is sealed imo.

Not where each team in top 4 will finish, but top 4 is what it is currently.

The main aim of Spurs now, since we have almost secured CL for our new home next season, is to win a trophy.
That would be the FA Cup.

Big ask to finish 2nd would need to win all of our remaining games imo. 3rd is in our hands with a game in hand.

Has to be Kane in for Lamela. Lamela's been good, but not good enough to keep Kane on the bench.

Don't know who's really gonna be willing to pay for Rose after this season

12 months ago the thought of selling Rose and Toby would of sent this board into meltdown and the media rubbing their hands.
Whilst I wouldn’t like to see either go I think we have proved that we can cope with injuries or a dip in form with the squad we have.
Case in point, we had a very strong bench yesterday which made us look formidable.
I would however accept the sale of Rose if we acquired Sessegnon to challenge Davies for left or wing back.
Whilst Toby is World class Sánchez has made CB his own and Poch’s faith in Foyth’s future keeps us strong in that department.
All in all we have a great team with depth in all areas

Leave Kane out, do not change a winning team.
