So who am I thinking of? There was a PL goalkeeper who sat on the bench for years and made something like 1 appearance... thought it was Jones.

Either way, if RDD wants to be obtuse it’s pretty obvious the point I was making; some players are happy to take the pay cheque and sit on the bench.

Of course the attacking fullbacks need to be good defenders also if the opposition happen to have good wingers.

Talent is there, he’s a very good player. . Look how how the mousers did whilst taking a chance on Robertson? About time we started taking a chance rather than just spending mega bucks.

I said Alaba and you as the oracle told us we can't get him. I don't pretend to scour europe and know what great left backs are out there.
One thing i do know however is that sessengnon a 17 yr old is currently not good enough to be our 2nd choice left back behind Young for next season especially as he is much better as a winger than a defender. Got it now

I really don’t see why we need to get a centre back. Is Umtiti very good or is it because he plays for Barca that he’s rated? Honest question, never really seen him play.

I’ll be absolutely gutted if we let DDG, Pogba, Martial or Rashford go. I like Herrera too, should be playing more.

The obvious candidates are Darmian, Blind, Shaw, Fellaini and Carrick of course.

We need a DM/CM who can control a game and most importantly help us retain possession!
We could do with two full backs who are actually good at beating a man, getting to the byline and whipping a good cross in!

Most importantly, we need to get Pogba, Martial and Sanchez playing like we know they can, consistently, preferably in the same team
