Finally Conte was brave enough to use his subs earlier than the 80th minute mark. The past couple of months we've seen so many instances where some fresh legs or a tactical change could have helped swing things in our favour.
10 minutes is not enough amount of time for subs to give them opportunities, nor is like for like substations such as Zappa for Moses going to have any affect.
We've struggled to finish teams off, and we have often gone out with a whimper. Every coach before Conte were brave enough to gamble, and finally we see an impact we so clearly needed.
Hopefully the guy has learned to trust our subs a bit more!

good comeback but poor southampton are going down.

He had Batshuayi as his super sub but now has almost zero game changing and goal scoring substitutes.I agree with the theme of this article.

Still too late for me. I wanted Girou on for Morata at half time. Why be shii it for 70 minutes when you don't have to, with proper game management.

Morata needs to go, he's had his chance, it's embarrassing for him that Giroud has turned up and is better than him

As I mentioned on Ronny's article,I want to see some passion !.
The double substitution seemed to work, as much as I have fought his corner this season,Morata seems to lack that ingredient, perhaps he's not happy,or maybe it's his character,I don't know but,the lackadasical attitude he portrays is not good for the team.
The bench for the next game(s),and return ticket to Juve at the end of the season.

Every man and his dog knows Giroud is a fantastic sub option, for last 20-30 mins.
Question marks arise when he starts matches. Not much better than Morata.
Impact subbing is his niche/forte.
Doesn't have near enough same effect starting.
Having said that, I'd start him against Burnley.

Nonsense. You cant expect OG playing only for 30 min and change every game when things not going well.
Make your homework and setnthe team up and play to his strenghts.

I think that Morata should stay but only as second choice striker and it would be better if we partnered him upfront with another striker in most matches.Even Drogba needed two to three seasons before he started scoring goals for fun in Premiership.
