Serious question wltm serious (or fun loving) answers.
Just been watching the derby match between Forest and Derby. on the Football League Show (after your bedtime, Villa fans). Whenever these two teams meet, they play for the 'Brian Clough Trophy' in honour of the great man himself, who achieved so much with both 'small town' teams.
So who. my fellow Brummies of both persuasions, could we have a trophy named after for when we next meet?
Its difficult to think of anyone who achieved great things with both clubs. Obviously, Peter Withe won Villa their European Cup. but I always thought he was a bit of a donkey at Blues.
So who's it going to be - footballer. manager or perhaps someone whose got nothing to do with the beautiful game. but can unite Brummies in their respect for the person.
Answers on a postcard please...

Something that reflects the pride of Birmingham maybe, avoid copying the example given of the East Midlands trophy.
The Bull Ring comes to mind, and maybe a high quality, large possibly silver piece made in the shape of a bull ring,
I don't suppose the B6 boys would go for a Golden Carrot.

The Craig gardner cup gets my vote so far.
It could have a sculpture of him kissing both badges on it. Plonker.

I guess it's a combination of Doug Ellis and the Wiseman's. A cup in that name would favour the Blues massively, in that there were two Wiseman's to one Deadly Doug, and the fact that Deadly served on Blues' board as well as Villa's.

Doug Ellis the ex Villa chaiman used to be on our board along with Jack Wiseman who died a few months ago. kro.

Thanks Beesknee, I must admit, I never knew Deadly Doug was on the Blues board. The Ellis Wiseman cup it is then - nice one Zulu.

Fantastic work. The badge kissing sculpture would of course have him wearing a Sunderland shirt at the time, naturally.
