Last few seasons we have spent quite a bit on our defence yet we are still leaking goals. 12 in the last 2 away games. The Man Utd performance was expected due to the personnel available that day. However the Blackburn result is embarrassing one of the worst teams in EPL, predicted to get relegated. Yet we concede 4 goals, when they only had 2 shots on target.
We still have many tough away games to Chelsea, Pool, Stoke, Spurs & City. Who i think might blast us ala United did. Shrewsbury coming up even that game isnt a given with our form. I wouldnt be suprised with us even losing that game. I think its time to concentrate fully on epl & forget the Champions League use that to blood our youngsters. No point getting out of the group, we aint gonna win it anyway & this season will be the last in it if we dont get our league from on track. Getting that 4th place right now is more important then progressing in the UCL. They way we are headed will only play in europe by winning the Carling Cup.

Seriously you missed a trick in not getting Samba thank god you didn't. Some of you on here have been stating he's not good enough for you, how you can say that is beyond me looking at the sorry state of affairs of your back line. We don't have the team in front of the defence that you have so he is under a lot more pressure for us than he would be for you. Believe me Wenger made a big mistake in not Getting him

Damian you're absolutely right.
The reason Wenger didn't sign him is because everyone in the world knew he should have.
Same as Cahill, right now if I was Wenger i'd be hugely embarrassed at my level of stupidity. As a fan I don't care than Cahill is in the last year of his contract, the club needed him AND Samba he should have paid what was asked and stopped being so stubborn.
Thankfully i'm not a season ticket holder, if I was i'd be reluctant to pay for it on the grounds that there is only 1 year left before the team are playing in the Championship, if I wait i'd probably get tickets for free in 12 months.

Looking at the current situation Samba and Cahill would of been bargains if we paid ha forked out £30m each for them!
