I wasn't really that surprised to lose to Reading as they have some cracking players. The only surprise is their league position - like Arsenal!

I said at the end of last season that we would be relegated and I have no cause to change my mind. We don't get enough support to generate the cash to compete. The manager did miracles to get and keep us in the Championship but, from last Christmas, it was clear that the players realised that they have been running on air like Wile E Coyote and their sum was no longer greater than their parts. A new manager might convince them otherwise but for how long? It's like the old joke, "Boss, our centre forwards got concussion and doesn't know who he is!", "Tell him he's Pele and get him back on."

I think Sean is safe as the chairman may also be a fan but he is a self made millionaire and pretty shrewd.

Let's face it, we are a small club. Miracles have been worked to get us to the Championship and keep us there for this long. Sean said some time ago that this team and club will have to take a step backwards to move forwards again - hopefully stronger - and that makes sense. If you rebuild, then you usually suffer in the short term.

I don't buy into the clamour for a new Manager. No, I'm not wearing rose tinted spectacles, but being practical. Whilstever he has the desire, Sean O'Driscoll is the best man for the Rovers job in my humble opinion. If and when he no longer has the desire, then that will be a different matter but for now, I'm fully behind SoD and RoK.
