Seeing quotes on twitter (don't trust it) of Jose saying we could sign a Brazilian player, purely football manager but would people be happy if we ended up with this team..
---De gea---
Fabinho-- Bailly-- Toby A-- Sandro
Fred-------- Matic------- Pogba
Lingard---- Lukaku--- Sanchez
I can see martial going but there's 4 new signings above and couldn't
See us getting anymore than that? Expecting a busy transfer window but with it closing before the first game of the season and the World Cup this summer, think we could be let down on the transfer side of things.
Jose wants a Brazilian player?

Not sure Daz. The club are obviously backing Jose but i don’t think he’s necessarily cherry picking the players he wants, i think the club are buying players to fit in with where they want the club to go and for the most part that’s been younger players with room to grow, with the exception of Alexis.
For what it’s worth i think Malcolm would be a hit if indeed it was him. Willian perhaps. Douglas costa is predominately a left winger and you already have 3 of them so it makes little sense.

Thought costa played on the right?

Everytime I’ve seen him he’s played from the left

I think Martial may well go. I'd be gutted, as he's a big talent and I can't see how it wouldn't be a huge mistake

Hopefully we sign a couple of left wingers as we’re a bit short in that department. The left wing has to be a priority.

Fabinho’s a midfielder. Would be a waste signing him to play rb.

Going by those quotes he's basically giving Willian a nudge...

I don't believe it will be Willian, because Chelsea won't make it possible.

I wouldnt mind Neymar. He'd need to improve his tracking back skills though.

No problem with the idea of any number of BraziIians playing for united. Nobody should with so many of the world's best footballers coming from south America.
However I seriously doubt many take less than a season to adapt to what is a, singularly, difficult league structure. Many with experience in northern and eastern european leagues may have a bit of a clue, but those coming from the Italian, Spanish or Portuguese league systems do suffer - relatively speaking.
If a Brazilian (or 2) was to be transferred in, best do it from another epl club.
And one thing that is a dead cert. NEVER buy a Brazilian with the intention of asking them to be a proper defender. Just not going to work.

Given Willian's inconsistency and age bracket, I wouldn't want us to sign him at all. I agree with IAmMe in terms of defensive Brazilian full backs. It's not in their nature. Having said that, with the increasingly negative evolution of formations and 3 centre backs becoming more prevalent (thanks Conte), as a wing back it wouldn't be such an issue
