So next season......

Where are we going to finish?

Just interesting to see what expectations are for next season.

Just say the position (none of this top X malarkey) you think we will finish.

I will ask the same question just before the start of next season to see how fan's expectations change within a few months.

Also a Yes or No question, will Karanka survive the season?

Lolley has been the most consistent of the signings Karanka has made. If Forest can bring in a striker who can work with Lolley, it could pay real dividends. Lolley worked hard at Bolton to link up with the other forwards and was very positive throughout. Others weren’t always on his wavelength, though.

I would like to see what Figueiredo and Worrall could do together in central defence. Forest were down by a lack of ability to track runners at Bolton when the pressure was on. Hobbs and Fox went missing in those final few minuets. Darikwa singularly failed to read the run of Wilbraham for the winning goal. Kapino was rooted to his line when a bit more positivity might have helped settle the defences nerves. It wasn’t at all impressive.

There are some decent ingredients for Karanka to work with. I don’t see him landing many of the loan players that he brought in during Jan if I’m honest. I can’t see it being financially viable. I don’t think they should break the bank for Colback particularly. He has been ok but I could say he is a £40k a week player.

See you Mance!

Mance hasn't been good enough overall.

Also according to the NEP Vaughan and Hobbs have been told they can go.

Brereton needs to go out on loan IMO. He could be good but I don't think he is there yet. A spell at a league one club fighting for promotion I think we do him the world of good.

Would*

I disagree. He is good enough for he Champions and needs to be around the squad. Needs a decent striker to learn from and would be effective from the benc next season. He has done some hard yards this season and that’ll be vital experience.

I agree with Will on BB. He has had a tough season and has carried a heavy load as lone striker (or early on out of position as a wide man.). It has been too much for such an inexperienced player. playing alongside Murphy when Murphy was playing well would have done him good. If we could have someone playing like Murphy playing like Murphy did before Christmas (and it could be Murphy again) and someone like Jack Marriott and play two from three up front we could add twenty goals to the goals for column.
