Player ratings vs. West Ham

I miss the days when I could write something positive in these.

Here are my ratings:

Hamer: 6 - Didn't really get a lot to do other than pick the ball out of the net, but came across as competent enough in the few things he did do.
Benalouane: 6 - The same old Benny really. Big tackles, high boots, bad positioning, passion, no clue what he was doing going forward. Entertaining though.
Morgan: 7 - A one-man defence for the first 25 minutes. I'm sure people will disagree as Morgan-bashing is very much the vogue right now, but I thought he kept things tight and did quite well comparatively.
Maguire: 5 - Went missing for much of the first half, then went missing again in the second. Didn't look interested as soon as the ball went past him.
Fuchs: 7 - Not perfect by any means but kept on going and at least his crosses into the box looked vaguely dangerous. My choice for our MOTM.
Mahrez: 4 - Occasionally spotted on the pitch, but could have been in the changing rooms for much of it and nobody would have realised. The odd good move didn't cover up the lack of effort.
Choudhury: 5 - An interesting watch. For the first 25 minutes he was hopelessly out of his depth. But when West Ham tired and stopped pressing him he grew into the game. And then Puel hauled him off. Doesn't look like he'll ever be a creative player but at least showed signed he could be an effective defensive midfielder. Needs a season in the Championship though.
Iborra: 5 - Struggled to make an impact in the game, but credit to him for playing when not fit. Not much sign of that through the rest of the squad.
Silva: 5 - Has to learn better how to play in the Premier League and still wants too much time. Ran around a lot but ultimately ineffective.
Diabate: 6 - Provided some excitement and threw in some tricks but ultimately has to work on his end product.
Vardy: 5 - Given no service and cut a frustrated figure.

Dragovic: 6 - I hear he wasn't well yesterday and did look a little off, although he was largely isolated and held up pretty well.
Iheanacho: 5 - Added little. Largely ineffective.
Gray: 5 - Another who added little, but at least he looked more interested than Mahrez.

I stopped behind for the lap of honour / walk of shame afterwards. Yes, I was one of the few idiots. I couldn't quite tell whether some people in the Kop were booing or chanting for Huth, but I figured probably the latter. I can only hope that the owners saw the empty seats and realise what's to come, particularly with the stadium expansion in the offing.

Lets have a sweepstake on how many goals we will concede against Arsenal and Tottenham. Let's at least have a little fun between us.

I'll kick us off... 11

If we give any game a good go it has to be Spurs if it helps Chelsea get a Champions League spot!

Still, I couldn’t see us beating Barnsley at the moment.

Is that in one or both games?

Depressing yesterday, the only thing I might disagree with was the Choudhry sub which I thought was right, he'd started to make a few errors.

Re-Choudury-
For me he is Iborra but a little quicker, to many sideways passes we need better - much better

If we are following the Peter Taylor model, we will beat Arsenal, Puel will stay and we will lose 5-0 at home to Cardiff in the first game of next season.
Still, 2035 or thereabouts, looks promising!

Concede about 5 in all & score 3. (City 3-1 Arsenal)
