Joses avin a giraf.

Jose want willian to join him at manu- i understand that Willian is a stable to fantastic player with goals backtracking and energi. Now the funny part he wants to use Martial in a swap. sounds ok but he values mariale (cant get a game at utd) at Willian +40million. Hes been at the theatre of dreams to long already hes starting to believe the hype. Well give you Willian for Rashford +20million.

The ironic thing is Willian's output has been so much more productive since Jose left.

That’s true of any player, except goalkeepers.

The idea of a Willian/Martial swap (if we're also getting money) is a real tempter. Willian's a player any manager would love to have + every squad is better for having, but his age has to be an issue when the chance to cash in includes a player of Martial's potential, particularly in this market where value for money doesn't exist. One of our nagging concerns going into next season will be ages of Willian & Pedro and how we plan to replace them long term, this would be a decent escape route on one of them.

With deals like this I try to look at it from the opposition fans prospective, and I'm pretty sure the majority of United fans would NOT like this deal to happen. It would be worth a discussion if it ever became realistic.

I would wager Willian has one maybe 2 more outstanding seasons left in him, so in theory a swap deal can make sense. But is Martial the right player to bring on? Not sure.

This would be a great deal for us. Willian is a good player but is not getting any younger and wingers generally slow down in their early 30's (I know hes not there yet but not far off either).

Martial with a manager who trusts him and regular game time will be a star. It depends who we appoint after Conte of course.

I'll add that other than Robb, there seems no one that wants this deal (£40m+Willian for Martial) to happen on the United side of this.

While Willian would add balance, he'll only improve us marginally and there are better and younger players out there. Also, losing Martial may be another KDB and Salah in the making for Jose (failed to develop the latter and sent him out on loan with an Option to buy).

China, he’s had two seasons with Martial and doesn’t seem to fancy him.

Martial is apparently the one who wants out so if that’s the case, why not get a guy who would improve us in an area that we need improving in and pocket £40 million too?

Firstly, he won't be the only player to improve us in that position. Secondly, we have Lingard playing there, so if we get in new FBs that can attack, that would negate a great need for him. Thirdly, I just don't think he's worth it and nor is it worth strengthening a rival while we sign a player who has never had a great season and is hitting 30.

If Martial wants to leave, we sell him abroad.

Yeah I checked out the rumor after posting that comment

That's a joke. Straight swap at the absolute lowest, anything less and it's a big no go.
