Having been a fan since the days of Matt Gillies I don’t think I can ever remember a more toxic atmosphere as last Saturday. Several people around me didn’t really want to be there and only the wonderful Alan Birchenal made it a “ must go" fixture. As the usual turgid performance developed before our eyes and we waited for West Ham to walk through our defence and score we just sat and listened to the opposition fans celebrating and wished we’d stayed at home after all. The ironic celebration when we had a shot on target after 84 mins said it all.
Our owners deserve better than this and the players can perform better than this so what’s to be done? We need a younger more dynamic manager who understands the English game eg. Eddie Howe. Someone who can build a team eg. David Wagner and someone who can scout decent players like Ndidi but not Musa or Mendy. If this happens my beloved club can rise like a Phoenix from the ashes of this season
I was one of the few who stayed for the embarrassing “ lap of honour" last Saturday. It was awful but I wanted to show players like Albrighton, Vardy and Chilwell that we still value them and need them. I shall renew my season ticket of course and I shall be there on Wednesday but please, please don’t let there be another season like this one!
Leicester till I die!
Embarrassing

I'm not sure your 606 reputation is in tatters Nev. You've changed your mind about Claude, presumably based on our appalling form, lack of penetration, tedious football etc. You won't be the only person who's switched sides recently. It's difficult to defend him at the moment.
I'm occupying Dunge's usual position at the mo (picking splinters out of my backside); if the owners decide to keep him on (Claude not Dunge) I'm still hopeful he may be able to improve the current offering with some new players more suited to his playing style and a decent preseason.

The thing is Nev hasn’t really changed his mind, not when you read his follow up posts. Still blaming the players, still making out they have downed tools - only today he’s posted that this group of players have done this 3 times now which can’t be a co-incidence.
He hasn’t really changed his view at all....

nuneaton - I understand from my source that the owners have tried and failed to get rid of me on several occasions.

I did change my mind after watching Puel on Saturday! but maybe he does not care what the players think and he has a strong position?
The players are the only constant and the only people you actually kick a ball. I don't think they either have wanted or are capable of change and if you think they are trying hard and its Puels fault they can't make a 10 yard pass to a blue shirt then you must be going to different matches than me?
Anyway we will win tonight the players will try hard and i will have to change my mind again.

There is a massive difference between wanting to do something and being capable of doing it nev. If as Wes has said, they are trying to implement the managers instructions, but aren’t good enough to do it, that’s not their fault
This gets easily confused with downing tools, something else altogether. I don’t believe they have done that. I see no evidence of that. What I see are continual mistakes from being instructed to play a certain style of football, that 2 or 3 players aside, they aren’t good enough to do at PL level. Same as Palace under DeBoer

Just read KTF1’s posts on the other thread, about 10 times and some of it might sink in with you,

This is the classic situation of a fish being judged on its ability to climb trees.

With Nev continually berating the poor fish and calling it insubordinate for failing to follow simple tree climbing instructions.

Fish did learn to climb trees, it just took 500 million years of evolution.
So what's unreasonable about expecting this particular tankful to master it in half a season?
