Two most successful teams of the PL era and last 10 years, go head to head in a final despite both very disappointing seasons, or atleast in chelsea's point of view.
So utd and chelsea fans, what are your views? I think utd have to be favourites, Mourinho's big game record vs Conte's is just a chasm in difference. Conte has near enough single-handedly ruined all our impressive records and dominance in the last two years(Arsenal dominance, Tottenham Record, Cup final and Wembley record).
Bookies Odds:
Chelsea 2/1
Draw 21/10
Utd 6/4
Very generous to Chelsea.
The only real positive for me is we have been the better team for 3 of 4 halves against utd this season but that will probably just lead to more disappointment.
Heart obviously says chelsea, but I reckon a 3-1 win from utd, in a similar game to the spurs semi final for them.
Chelsea v Utd FA CUP final

Like most others, I expect a tight, tense game. The first goal will likely be decisive

This will probably be one of the most boring FA Cup finals ever
.....................
Our 1-0 (Cantona) v The Spice Boys will take some beating for boredom.
I didn't care, mind.

I said it on another thread the other day, but I thought 06-07 was dreadful. We lost to 1-0 Chelsea, having just won the title, in the first final back at the new Wembley. A dire spectacle, as I remember.

----------------------------------------------------------------------you guys are kings of the comeback this season tho so first goal for us don't really mean nothing, amount of times we've choked too. last minute 1-0 is only thing that would be decisive for us, probably still fk it u lol

I think United will beat Chelsea in the last few months your record against the top teams has been excellent. I expect it to be a very dull cagey affair though not a lot of goals little goal mouth action for both teams.

Double edged sword really. If we win this battle for the FA Cup then we will lose the war for the PL next season when City derail any optimism we build up over the summer by thrashing us in the Community Shield.
Pyrrhic victory.

I disagree with Lambeau Leap's last comment.Any win is good but not all losses are bad.Whay about Chelsea winning FA Cup final this season and Community Shield against Manchester City next season.Keep the faith,my fellow Chelsea fans.

Previously I referred to Rashford as United's "best" player and a couple of their faithful took issue.
Let me simplify "best" as meaning "most exciting" and "most energetic". A major reason your team was a distant second in the PL is that your manager was never able recognize this fact!
Once again, if he doesn't play a major role in the Cup Final United will have trouble winning.

He isn't our most exciting player. Martial is. Most energetic is probably Lingard.

Makes no sense as Carrick should at least be a substitute? He has the quality to stretch teams with his forward passes to feet.
