The first Old Firm match this season has went to Rangers with a thrilling 4-2 win over Celtic. It only took 23 minutes for the first goal to come from Steven Naismith from Whittaker taking the throw into Kyle Lafferty near the right byline. He crosses the ball into the box but Wilson near the front post makes a poor clearance straight to Naismith who blasts the ball from 15 yards out into the corner of the net so 1-0 to Rangers. It only took Celtic 10 to strike back and it was number 88 Gary Hopper Celtic went he left side of the box and he scores with an exquisite finish into the bottom corner from ten yards out past McGregor's dive. so now it is 1-1.In the 41 minute Celtic go 2-1 ahead from EL KADDOUR it all came from a Celtic pass across the face of the box to El Kaddouri 25 yards out to the left of goal and he tries an effort. His low shot is straight at McGregor who inexplicably lets it through his hands and his legs and into the net. What a howler!.It was Half time and it was 2-1 to Celtic. It did not ake long after the break for Rangers to equalise from Jelavic, Davis takes the corner and Jelavic heads into the ground from ten yards in the centre and it bounces up and into the goal now it everything to play for. About 10 minutes later Rangers score the winner to make it 3-2 from Lafferty, Rangers cross from the left and Mulgrew's header at the far post hits K wilson. Lafferty latches onto the loose ball and he scrambles the ball in through Forster's legs after M Wilson had blocked his first shot.It was to get worse for Celtic Charlie Mulgrew got sent off in the 75 minute,Mulgrew, who is already on a yellow card, catches Davis and is sent off. Now to finish Celtic off Naismith scored in the 93 minute from a throw in short before Davis crosses from 12 yards on the right into Naismith in the centre who has lost his maker Stokes and slots home right footed into the goal from six yards. Game over!!! Full Time Rangers 4-2 Celtic

good game, terrible score line but can't have any complaints, Celtic w're poor in the second half and rangers deserved the win, not to worry though, nobody wins the league in September....
