As we know, laughing at Liverpool has become a regular occurrence over the last decade.
On two occasions, it looked like Liverpool would shove it back down people’s throats: the 2013-14 Premier League title race and the 2018 Champions League Final. But just when they were close to shutting people up, comical mistakes ensured that the laughter only amplified.
Steven Gerrard slipped and let Demba Ba race through on goal and slot Chelsea into a decisive lead. City won their remaining games and took the title.
Loris Karius threw the ball straight at Karim Benzema’s outstretched leg. Big Benz stabbed it into the empty net, and Madrid were rolling to the CL crown.
But which of these mistakes was your personal favourite?
I’d say #TheSlip. The comedy value of the player many said had been deprived of the PL title by a poor supporting cast, literally letting the title slip away from his teammates, is just classic.
What’s your pick?

To be honest I'd say the slip is funnier.

What makes that even MORE ironic is that he's looking at Sterling as he's saying it, who is the only one of that group who's gone on to win the PL.

I just realised it's actually not Sterling but Moses, yet the same applies.

Spurtle what do you think will happen first, Spurs to win the league or every single fan that was alive in 57 or whenever you last won it to die of old age?
It's a genuine possibility that at some point in the not-to-distant future there will not be a single Spurs fan alive to have seen your lot win the league...

I think we'll have as much chance winning something at the moment as Liverpool.

Agreed, but you're at your peak as a club.

With the new stadium to come and that generating more money, I would say that that's not entirely true, potentially speaking.

That's only because Wenger and the board held them back.
Like I said, "potentially".

Is it? Or is it because the club as a business had enormous construction related debts that needed paying off?

Yeah, I'm laughing my socks off.
Oh wait.
