No mate I'm with you on this one...he looked much fitter and faster than previously for us...he also worked really hard all game.
Just a shame he had to play most of the game in midfield...I think he's ready to lead the line now

Nah I actually agree with you, I was suprised Kenny picked him but I thought he actually looked decent despite the lack of service, although the rest of the team were awful so its not as if there was any great competion.

Carroll, Suarez, Lucas and Enrique are the only players that can come out of this game with any credit. I thought the referee had a great game for Spurs up front.

We bought Adam, Downing and Hendo to create chances for Carroll and they failed to do that today. I feel we need to play to our strengths and play some early balls in for AC. We were far too slow in doing so. SOS for Mr Gerrard.

Carroll did ok job, the main problem (IF YA'LL WATCHED THE MATCH) was that our center midfield was overrun. Period.
Modric/Parker > Lucas/Adam. There wasn't even competition. With Gerrard, maybe, it depends if he regains his fitness. + we need competition for Lucas.

The performance was pretty dire, with no one firing on any cylinders. It was backs-to-the-wall from the off. Full marks to Spurs, they could easily have scored more, they played us off the park, even when we still had eleven players (players???) on the park. IT will be interesting to see what, if any, changes KD brings in. All we can hope for is that we do not play as bad again for the remainder of the season. JimmyTheRed
