Ports marching on?

A great performance yesterday against league leaders and defending champions Linfield from Portadown. Ports went into the game on a high after last weeks late comeback against Glentoran and dominating most of the match.
Linfield should maybe have a penalty in the first half but apart from that neither team really forced either keeper into action. But both teams looked good and went into the break all square and at that stage I would still have taken a point from the game.
But I think we came out the brightest and the best in the second half and say what you will about our penalty it was well taken and from there on Linfield really didn't look like getting anything from the game. Apart from a great save from Miskelly from a Thompson shot and a badly missed header from Burns Linfield created nothing else. Tipton got a great second goal and it wrapped up a great all round performance.

So far we've looked good but we still lost 2 silly games, we could very easily be unbeaten so far this season. It's great to see that we finally seem to have an all out goal scorer as we have been badly lacking since Vinny and Hamilton left. But McCabe has got to keep himself in check he is too hot headed and yea that can be good but he always looks like he could do something stupid to be sent off, 2 reds in 2 games he's played now and we need him for this season not sitting in the stands.
But dear only knows what will happen against Crusaders next week, we never beat them but we've started well and hopefully on course for challanging to be in the top 4.
