Too slow to act!!!

The club is in a state of limbo. We cannot have a repeat of last season and the club hasn't done anythinges since the end of last season to give any hope for 2018/2019.

We need to buy players before the world cup starts or we will pay well over the odds. We cannot start buying players untill we have a new manager in place and the worst part is Conte still hasn't been sacked so we don't even know if he is staying or not.

Oh dear I think our club is about to do an Arsenal.

We do need to move away from a counter-attacking team towards an attacking pressing side. We dont have the players to sit deep on a 1 goal lead even against the lesser sides as we tend to concede every single time!

Why zappa and dwater and morata but only bakayoko on loan chavy?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a player there in Bakayoko, If he goes on loan and performs and matures he could come back in and do well or be sold for good money. Much like Batshuayi now.

but bats always showed flashes, and scored goals, bakayoko never has. Morata has shown more flashes. That's why I asked the question.

Bats did always score goals for us but at times he couldn't trap the ball and his first touch was often pretty poor... He went on loan and now his stock is pretty high and could go for more than we paid for him, Which I think could happen with Bakayoko, He's 23 after all. Also Bakayoko has played well in games against Spurs (A) United (H & FACup) Liverpool (H) Atleti (A).. Yes not alot of games but they were all against the big sides.

The system hasn't helped the players you mention either. Fabregas is not a holding midfielder, Bakayoko is box-to-box, not defensive, Batshuayi needs the ball to run on to, not back to goal etc etc. Why we bought Drinkwater, God only knows. It's time to build teams around our quality players and those we think will be quality - ie Hazard, Loftus Cheek, Hudson Odoi etc.

Out: Zappacosta, Cahill, Bakayoko (Loan), Drinkwater, Pedro, Morata.

IN: Icardi, Seri.

Loan recalls: Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Batshuayi.

Promote: Reece James, Hudson-Odoi.

Adding Jeremie Boga to this idea

I think it's a stretch to say he played WELL, maybe played better than use to but usually because he stayed out the way.

But eric your right, our system doesn't help things

Yep our system is all over the shop as we have all different types of players to play it, We have Cesc, Hazard, Luiz and and Christensen who are all ball players add to that Batshuayi, Bakayoko and Cahill who are the opposite, Throw in Pedro who runs around like a headless chicken, Moses and Alonso who cant cross a ball and Morata who cant finish any of his 3 1v1s per game.

Chavy we don't seem to have any football philosphy, we stumbled upon(ingeniously or not)the 3-5-2 and got into a system but it was never going to last. Too reliant on hazard and kante.

i've always been of the mindset(considering we have multimillion pound players on high wages)that attack is best form of defence.

We give up the ball too easily and for too long a period.

Yep I agree! We have so many attacking players in Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Fabregas, Morata, Bats and Giroud that you'd think we find a way to utilize these players instead of shoe horning Willian, Pedro and Hazard into unfamiliar positions.
