thoughts on this, think he sounds a bit bitter about Tottenham? Honest interview though, Danny doesn't hold back. Wonder how the club feel not being in the loop?

Haven't seen the interview, however if he is in a fragile state of mine why the feck has he been picked for England?

Well maybe you should see the interview before commenting, where you’d see he’d stated that he had (you know, past tense) been diagnosed with depression, but that he feels better now.

Good news
As I said, I hadn't seen it, and would find Southgate picking a player with mental health issues very strange (we've done it in cricket in the past)

I'd be depressed too if I played for Spurs on half the wages of my equals at other clubs.

Sensible discussion mate, there’s ample articles on here for the juvenile stuff.

Maybe he could give away all the millions in his bank to charity, perhaps a feeling of doing some good could help him get over his depression.

Depression is a fuсker.
I've suffered in the past (and occasionally still do).
There is no quick cure. Nothing that anyone can say that can make it better. It's not a case of "You've got nothing to be depressed about, think of all the people worse off than you" - that means nothing and just makes it worse.
Talking to someone, however really does help. Doesn't necessarily have to be a counsellor - although obviously talking to someone who doesn't know you or your friends and family can be good.
I would hazard a guess that every single person who posts on here knows someone who has mental issues. If you're thinking "I don't know anyone with mental issues" then maybe you're not looking closely enough?

well said mate, and I'd go even further to say there's probably people on here that don't know they have or are suffering themselves.
I'd no idea how anxiety hit you until I went to the doctor cause had chest pains and felt like I'd fecking cancer or something.
After talking to the doctor for a few mins he quickly saw I was basically freaked out in my personal life and when I described the symptoms to him he said it's anxiety and that I wasn't ill physically.
