Interesting comments from De Gea after his mistake yesterday. Doesn't seem to happy with Spanish press which is obviously good news for us. Nice to see Jose come to his defence too.
"I like that there are criticisms," said De Gea. "Diego Costa has also been criticised and he scored two goals. I haven't killed anyone, either. I'm happy with the national team.
"I don't see much that they support me from Spain. My own criticism is bad enough.
"I would have liked that they defend me more in a difficult moment in my life, with an issue from outside the game.
"I am happy with the support from the manager and the lads.
"This can happen. It's a mistake. We put on our gloves and go out into the field and we know how difficult it is.
"I count on the support of the coach and my colleagues to continue. I will stay calm. It was a difficult ball, I'll keep training and try to do things right. I haven't killed anyone."
Jose's comments
"It's my boy. It hurts me to say it, but he knows. He knows it's a bad mistake," he said.
"It's a mistake that he doesn't make with us, with United. He was our Player of the Season, fantastic performances. But that happens to the best.
"The good thing with the best is that in the next match he'll be there, not afraid. Confident to go and ready to help the team. It is a goal with David's face."

How minor?
Has he still got a missus?

I don't think it's known, but likely not all that under age. Dates back a few years, probably when he was still in the U21 squad, but the story broke just before the 2016 Euros. DDG and Muniaín allegedly paid a Spanish poorn producer to take them a couple of girls to their hotel room. Quite possible he had no idea one of them was under age.

That's not right... Ddg set it up with a producer but he wasn't involved in the actual humping?

No charges were brought against the players. The producer has been in and out of the nick though, not the first or last time he's been in trouble. Seems like a nasty piece of work.

If he did that in a Madrid shirt there would be 80,000 white hankies being waved

Isco wasn't named by the girl afaik. Apparently she only named Muniaín to begin with, then DDG the next time the police interviewed here. Isco's name came up some time later, not sure where from though.
Tbh, I am only actually finding all this out myself now, I must've been away somewhere when it all broke because Ionly vaguely remembered it until it was in the news again at the start of this month.

Perhaps he’s less confident for Spain than he is United.
It did take a long time for him to replace Casillas as permanent number one I recall (or longer than I thought it would given his rise to world’s best at United).
He knows the fans love him at United, pundits in England usually gushing as well, so hopefully more chance he’ll stay for longer.
