I have almost lost all faith in the media reports about the arrival of Sarri and Conte on his way out. The "In 24 hours" -In the next two days"- "Conte to be sacked imminently", we have had so many failed predictions.
If the decision was made then the new manager would have already been appointed and installed at The Bridge It seems we are awaiting the end of the World Cup tournament before any announcement will be made. If at all.
This leads me to conclude that; 1) Conte is staying on, or 2) more likely the appointed successor is a national manager of one of the tournament teams. So it would make sense not to destabilise the national team concerned with such an announcement. Zidane's appointment at Real was heavily denounced by the Spanish media.
Should this be the case then who among the remaining national managers presently in Russia has been selected to be our coach next term? Its getting harder to have faith in the Sarri prediction, its clear that the media have no genuine information.

You are overthinking the situation.
Rest assured...Sarri will be appointed Chelsea manager (or head coach).
When you hear former players like Koulibaly definitively talking about the influence Sarri will make at Chelsea and the "I hope he will win something with Chelsea because he's a nice coach" quote, that's when you know for sure it's on.
For further confirmation Zola's agent said Sarri will arrive.
Zola cut-short punditry commitments (in South Africa) to return at Chelsea in assistant or director capacity.

When the entire media in two different countries latch onto the same story (especially for this long), it's very safe to assume a distinct undertone of truth. The information might be butched but I'm sure our interest in him is real.
At some point between now and the the start of the season it'll be made official and we'll have a frantic signing frenzy (both ins and outs) in a mass 2 to 3 week panic. You know, the Chelsea way

Pre season starts on July 2nd... I'd be worried of Sarri isn't appointed before then.
