When we win the world cup should Gareth be knighted?
I think we've got every chance, I mean look at how poor Argentina, Morocco and Iran have been.
And with Iceland not qualifying then we've got an even bigger chance!!
Kane is the best striker and the world and why people don't compare Henderson with Xavi or Iniesta as his passing is second to none.
Even at the back Jones and Stones are real quality and then you've got Pickford who is a future England Number 1 and already showing he's got the mentality to be the best goalkeeper the world has ever seen.
So when we win it in a few weeks time should he be knighted for putting this team together? And should big Sam be recognised for helping aswel?
Thoughts??

Don't you support that nation north of England that never qualifies for any tournament?

Knighthoods get given out in this country for winning a few bike and running races, so yeah he should for winning the world cup.

Panama was the litmus test for me. Now we've beaten then we shouldn't be afraid of anyone.

All the praise Southgate has received is a tiny bit over the top
He's doing a good job, but the quality of it is being artificially enhanced by the clowns who came before him. He's put a system together that helps our players play their natural games, but the only truly innovative aspect of it is the Henderson/Ali or RLC/Lingard triangle - that's pretty cool. Using them how Eriksson & Capello should've used Gerrard & Lampard. Credit to him for that.
But on the whole he's just proving very competent, which in the England manager's chair passes for inspirational brilliance

What sport is Scotland actually good at?

The system doesn't actually get the best out of Harry Kane. He has popped up with the goals, but the system doesn't play to his strengths. It does play to the strengths of Lingard, Sterling, Alli/RLC. This might it be so bad as Harry doesn't need as many chances as Lingard to score.
