Great game but expect a MEDIA OUTCRY

after that miss. For the next weeks , months this miss will be echoed by commentators , pundits , newspapers. His best performance to date will be ignored.

Throughout the game we played some lovely stuff , slick passing and Torres my word his movement was fantastic. The boy really played with true grit and determination. That miss as bad as it was a true shocker and all the hooligans will now jump on the wagon.
The result doesnt hurt me as much but I feel so sorry for torres I could cry after that miss.

P.S = have you noticed those 2 blatant offside goals were brushed away so easily by sky.

Of course they will, but we all saw a Torres getting back to form, that we can take heart from, the press can say what they like.

It was a great display by Torres. He was Chelsea´s best player by light years and I was gutted for him that he didn´t get his second goal of the game.

If you look at Torres´s last two games including the Leverkusen game midweek where he created both goals it could be argued that the Torres of old is almost back.

As a neutral I was gutted for Torres, he played brilliantly...as did Chelsea. Refereeing was shocking

I feel so bad , Going to the bridge on wedneday but I hate the british sporting media. No longer watch Motd punditry talk or skysports analyses.
On another note you have to give credit to united aswell they were clinical very clinical in their finishing

"2 blatant offside goals were brushed away so easily by sky"

Really? I see no blatant offside about Torres goal!
And there were certainly no other "blatant" offside goals - given that it took a slo-mo replay to ascertain the actual positions of the players there would have clearly been doubt, and the laws say in that event it is NOT offside, no matter WHAT the cameras may ultimately indicate.
Such a complaint is petty, and is a case of sour grapes; I note you say nothing of Cole's awful assault on Hernandez.

It is true, Chelsea played very well in the main, and the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story - but do not allow partisanship to blind you to the facxt that both sides missed many very good chances - United took enough of them however to get the win.

And yeah, people will focus on Torres' miss, just as they have focused on De Gea's errors - and would have had he made an error as egregious as some of the strikers ones today.

If you have aspirations to be the best, it just comes with the territory.

Chelsea played well today and lost to the Champions who finished better - I don't see that at this stage of the season you can really find too much to complain about regarding today's match.
