Mae Sai,Northern Thailand it's beginning to look worse and worse for these little guys now,a Thai ex-Navy SEAL diver has perished in the tunnels he was supplying Oxygen to the rescue operation but ran out himself.
What chance do these kids have when none of them can even swim, never mind dive and never mind cave dive?
I've been in Mae Sai it's the actual border crossing into Myanmar/Burma from Northern Thailand, into Tachilek which is Shan State the prohibited area, there's signs around the town telling you if you stray more than a mile outside the town centre you will be picked up by the Police or Army!
The scenery in Mae Sai is absolutely stunningly beautiful the most breathtaking I've seen, having lived all over South-East Asia for the last ten years.
So I really hope there is a solution for the Moo Pa (Jungle Pig/Wild Boar) football team to all get out safe and sound although it's now beginning to look more and more unlikely.
It just shows how cruel and powerful nature is,at any time the monsoon rains could start up and flood the tunnels completely and no amount of water pumps will stop that tragedy occurring.
It makes you realise that there's more important things in life than football, good luck to these little Thai kids (Choc Dii Khrab in Thai).
