In a word, no. He's a completely different player to Kante. He's probably closer to a Lingard than a Kante.

Matic will play just about every game. I expect Fred will only play in a three with Matic in behind, or in a two with Matic.

Do not expect to see a Pogba and Fred two man midfield.

Yes, France are playing a three, but no, Matuidi isn't sitting.

In the main, Kante is sitting (Matic), Matuidi is up and down chasing people like a terrier and carrying the ball out (Fred) and Pogba is free to roam about.

Matuidi doesn't sit. And Fred you won't see sitting, because he isn't that kind of player. That's why if we play a two man midfield (which Jose will sometimes), you'll find Matic in there.

Basically Matic will play every week. Then it'll be Pogba and/or Fred joining him.
