Shame for the lad, not had much luck with knee injuries. Not sure if this is related to his previous injury.

Van Ginkel out for 8 months!

Didnt know Van Ginkel was still signed to Chelsea. He's 26 in December will he ever be used in the first team? Seems like another career that has gone by the wayside.

Yeah, still on our books but continually loaned out - a ridiculous situation for a 25 year old. We should sell him permanently so he can get on with what's left of his career.

PSV should have loaned with the agreement to buy after 2 seasons with them. If that's his level then doesnt seem like he will be one to rue like De Bruyne.

From what i hear a lot of loanee's choose to stay on our books as long as possible due to the fantastic work Newton does with them.

At nearly 26? Seems odd that a professional footballer wouldn't want a settled career at half way through his footballing time line!

It is weird, but he's been a long term loanee at PSV. I think they wanted to buy him, but couldn't afford him. He was their captain last season, so he is clearly seen as integral to their team. I got the impression that Chelsea were going to be selling him this Summer, but that doesn't look like it will happen now after this latest injury. Poor guy.
