ive never really liked him as a player has never really stood out. A lot of chatter about us signing him, i really hope not firstly hes a very similar player to Giroud but Giroud is better at holding up play. Higuain always seems to look overweight too so not sure he could handle the pace of the premier league.
Have just read Sarri has signed so good luck to him lets hope hes all hes been hyped up to be, now lets get the season underway and bring home the Europa league again.

I don't see this working at all personally. It'll all hinge on Sarri getting the most out of him, because on paper he's the epitome of the mold of striker who flops for us.
A goalscorer who (at his best) contributes next to nothing in the build up. We've had legions of strikers like this - Kezman, Crespo, Sheva, Sturridge, Torres, Remy, Bats, etc... all who for different reasons couldn't hack it leading our line. We either butched them by expecting them to drop back or they became isolated too easily. Then you factor his age + lack of PL experience, and you can't see any way this will work.
But I will say if we bring in Sarri & Jorginho at the same time, we've bought ourselves the freedom to take a punt like this. Jorginho is the key signing this window (if Sarri is coming in).

I wouldn't either, but he never really lived up to the player he was in Italy for us. Even back then it was clear an extremely raw Drogba was the better option.

Also true. Would be ironic us missing out on Lukaku last summer in large part due to arrogance and winding up with an older, unproven PL version.
