Gazumping City Targets

United twice (Fred & Sanchez)
Chelsea once - Jorginho.

It’s open season from now on.
You guys started it. Don’t cry in future when we return the compliment because we will.

Actually Chelsea started it on the early naughties with Essien, Robben etc.

City fans probably dont realise that football was around in the early naughties.

We have played by the gentleman’s rule not to go after players already negotiating with United or Chelsea.
But all that is out of the window now.
If we want a player you guys are already in the process of signing, we will do just what you and Chelsea have done.
All I am saying now is I hope you don’t rewrite history then and try to paint City as this obnoxious club with more money than sense.

I seem to remember you doing it to Chelsea with a certain Brazillian, though it didn't work out as well as expected of I recall.

I should have read through before posting, my bad, it was covered, several times.

I love this ‘gentleman’s rule’ about not going for other teams transfer targets.

I might go and visit the OP in Cloud Cukoo Land one day.

How is Sanchez working out? Worth every penny?

We'll tell you during his second season with us.

City didn’t want to pay the asking price by all accounts.

City had their price, Chelsea offered more.

I was talking about Fred.

I havent watched Jorginho play much but I have read from those that have that's he's a bit like Michael Carrick.

Exactly the player United needs. We have absolutely no control in midfield and somebody to calm everything down and get things going. Carrick was great for us at doing that.

Blind could do that I bet given a run in a deep lying mf position, but our fearless leader is getting rid of him

To an extent but not quite that Standard.

I always liked Blind though.
