Allardyce....What a plank!

I see that Allardyce has once again opened his big gob to blame Harry Kane for England losing against Croatia.

This is what he said on talksport..............................Ex-England boss Sam Allardyce has probably been watching the World Cup through gritted teeth as the Three Lions exceeded expectations to reach the semi-finals.

Never one to miss an opportunity to have a dig at someone if at all possible, Big Sam believes striker Harry Kane is to blame for England’s exit from the tournament.

“What went against us was that the quality of our own finishing in open play – it let us down," Allardyce told talkSPORT.

“Had we gone in 2-0 up, I don’t think there was any chance Croatia would have recovered from that. Particularly the double miss from Harry – as a striker, you’re employed not to miss those chances when they come along.

“I don’t want to be unkind to Harry Kane, because he’s an absolutely brilliant striker, but Raheem Sterling was in a much better position and that little ball across the box and a little tap in would have made it more certain."

Allardyce has been criticising England right from the start, especially the fact that they scored most of the goals from set pieces.

Talk about a hypocrite......................Allardyce's whole managerial career has been about taking advantage from corners & free kicks.

I can tell you one thing now, if Allardyce had still been England manager we would have most likely gone home at the first knockout stage.

He is a bitter and twisted individual, who thinks it is everyone else's fault he is where he is today, unemployed!

Finally, on that Kane alleged miss if you look at the video of it, he has actually hit the ball well and it was the goalkeeper who made an amazing save and the ball ricochets off his foot onto the post.

Henderson didn't choke, his good penalty was excellently saved
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He choked, he missed his penalty, the three Spurs boys put theirs away.

Sorry S , but Hendo’s pen was a very good pen which was saved by a very good save , Dier’s pen I thought was poorly placed , only the pace beat the keep , he should have saved it , so it’s abit like Tomato, Tomato 🍅

A penalty is a penalty. Don't matter how good or bad it is you only get a goal if it goes in the net.

No matter how good the save or how good the penalty, it doesn't matter one iota if it doesn't go in the net.

It's not really any wonder Kane was poor. August is just around the corner.

Sam's right about open play though, I've said it often enough and Kane should have scored. I remember a Steve Archibald miss in a final against Liverpool when we were 1-0 ahead with 5 minutes to go and they came back to win it. Yes, Kane, like Archibald back then has too take a huge amount of blame.

So basically you are saying that if Hendo had had Dier's football brain he would have hit it with the same pace so that keeper didn't save it

True that Kane should take his SHARE of the blame for missing a good chance but then Walker & Stones were both badly at fault for the goals and our Centre Midfield supremo kept hoofing it to nobody so they all should also take their share too.

I feel this England team can gel into something better though. It's the future at what we must look now.

Look, Fat Sam is willing to take bungs and probably has taken several over the years, he`d sell his own grandmother if he could get away with it. His opinions are worth fack all.

Amazing how since England have gone out of the world cup, the usual suspects come out of the closet, and start criticising the team. Not a peep out of the cowards when England were in the competition.

I can see the Liverpool v Spurs yawnfest will continue next season

Give it a break lads it’s ruining the site

Well said....boring as feck and same old crap dished out.

This
Ruining 606 but neither side is gonna stop

Totally agree with this comment, unfortunately the ship has already sailed. Idiotic comments from some have completely ruined this board, I posted my opinion and some have seized on it to score points against a Spurs player.
Not sure I can go through another season of reading inane comments from people, including I might add some Spurs supporters.

It’s a shame this used to be such a good site and a few are ruining it for the majority
