How do you think he will do this season? And how do you see him fitting in to our side.
Sarri played 4-3-3 at Empoli and Napoli. The midfield 3 at Napoli were pretty flat, and operated almost as a unit. There was no real designated holding midfielder, despite Allan being the most naturally defensive of the 3. Jorginho and Hamsik both bought into Sarri’s way of quick tempo passing, and had the ability to execute it.
I would make a guess that he will set us up in the same way, and all of a sudden, having signed Jorginho, we look well stocked in the middle.
Kante
Jorginho
Fabregas
Barkley
Loftus-Cheek
Bakayoko
Drinkwater
(And arguably) David Luiz
And it still sounds like we are on the verge of signing Golovin from CSKA.
Obviously there’s a case for discussion for all of them. But Barkley is an interesting one. 4 years ago, many were holding him up as potentially being one of the top number 10’s around. He clearly hasn’t lived up to the hype, but in my opinion there is still a very good player there. Last season was an absolute write off, and with that I think I’d forgotten about the potential he had. But thinking about it now, I think with his ability on the ball, he could fit in really well to a Sarri team.
Ross Barkley.....

Out of that list I'd like to see us get rid of some deadwood in:
Fabregas
Barkley
Bakayoko
With one I'm not totally convinced by, in Drinkwater.
Don't look too well stocked in the middle now do we!

Start him and we may as well be playing with ten men most of the time.

Little harsh. He’s one of Chelsea’s best players.

If he's one of our best players, it's no wonder we were so poor last season!

He absolutely is. Quality on his day in the right system. One of the best creative players in the league.

England could have done with a player like Barkley, someone who makes surging runs from midfield and has an eye for goal, sadly he's very inconsistent, and he's a confidence player, his head goes down if he hears rumblings from the crowd. I can see him at Newcastle in 18 months time.
