Good enough ?

DDG

Trippier Alderweireld Bailly Tierney

Fred Matic Pogba

Perisic Lukaku Sanchez

Even with the above additions (most popular options from users on here) is this a good enough side to win the title and go far in Europe, and if not, are our expectations too great ?

No United fan, that I can recall, has said they wanted Trippier. Care to say who has been saying we should sign him or want United to have him?

And the Croatian lad plays in the left. He can play on the right. But he isn't as good or effective there.

On Toby and Martial. Tottenham cannot afford Martial. He's value is set higher than Toby by United, so a swap would have Tottenham pay money plus Toby.

United aren't willing to meet Tottenham's valuation of Toby, either. £50m is the most United say they are willing to pay. Tottenham have reduced their price to £60m from £70 they initially wanted. I'll think he'll stay, and Tottenham will have a disgruntled player in their team that they don't want to keep. If they want to sell him abroad, they'll have to lower his price closer to £40m.

That's the difference. Martial knows he's wanted. Toby knows he isn't.

The author of this article - a supposed United fan has put Trippier in a starting 11, hence my post. Do keep up.

Hasn't Martial stated that he wants to leave where he can play football more regularly and play under a manager that trusts him?

Let's not act as though Martial is bigger than Spurs. We have better players than him at the club
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Martial is so overrated, I would not want him anywhere near Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not as overrated as Delle Ali. Now feck if you deluded clown

Trippier is in there because peiple have said we need new full backs and trippier seems to be the most popular choice. If he isnt then feel free to state who you would have instead
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There aren't a fantastic choice of RBs around however there are certainly better ones than bloody Trippier. I'd rather keep Valencia for a bit longer personally as defensively he is much better and have Dalot and/or TFM as backup
Sidibe looks good

Feel free to list these RB's dude.

Let's see where we are in 3 weeks, I wouldn't be suprised to see Toby at PSG for about £40m. Personally I would prefer to sell him abroad even for a knock down value.

It makes no sense for Spurs to deal with United if they won't let the players we want come the other way. If keep PSG sweet then we can hopefully continue to pick up their cast offs like Aurier and Moura.
-------------------
That may happen as no one is willing to meet the valuation of Toby. The PSG links are interesting in that they have been the same ones from before the World Cup, same for the United links. The only change that has come about is Tottenham lowering their asking price.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Really, I haven't seen anywhere saying we have lowered are asking price. It would be very unlike Levy.

I think United have been put off by price, but can't see us lowering it for you lot, PSG yes but not United

I was addressing the Op as he's the one to mention United fans wanting Trippier. He didn't say he himself wants Trippier.

No need to be mad. Just admit you made a mistake and move on. Things can get confusing on forums as many people reply to different people.

On lowering the price, I'll find you a link.

Also, Strike, you should have noticed that my second paragraph deals with Perisic the Croatian lad). Something you didn't mention.

I can see where the confusion comes from as my reply was posted after yours and a few of the United and Tottenham fans were taking about Alderweireld and I've added my thoughts to that along with my comments to the Op.
