Doom and gloom

I cannot believe the negativity around re the coming season.

OK so we aren't favourites for the title, and we aren't expecting swashbuckling football this season, but we have had more than our fair share of those things over the years and are still trying to get back on track following the retirement of Sir Alex and a couple of bad appointments.

So please chaps, let's try and look on the bright side, we have a good squad, a great manager, a rested Sanchez, a buzzing Pogba and the very exciting Fred. Plus there are over 2 weeks of the window still to go.

And look at it this way, we either have a really good season or Jose might be given the shove like a lot of you hope.

I've been supporting United for more than thirty years, and this is the first time I don't feel excited at all about a new season : first, because I am certain we won't win the league; second, Because I know we're going to play boring, defensive football; third, because we are managed by an egotistical despot who bullies his own players, criticizes them in public, and prevents them from expressing their talent on the pitch; because our board is weak and unable to sack a manager who insults the club and its glorious history by saying after our defeat to Sevilles that there was nothing strange about United being out at the quarter-final of the CL, because "he" came to Old Trafford with Porto and beat us and "he" came with Madrid and beat us. The implication being, he is a winner and United are losers.

It’s amazing seeing some people refuse to get excited at all

You’d think these people support Bury or Leyton Orient

Utterly spoilt by what came before and can’t accept that times change and managers like SAF don’t come around very often. Of course there will be things to get excited about this season just like there were last season.

Now we’re seeing what these jelly bellied people are made of

I think many would disagree that we have a great manager, which is the route of most of the discontent.

Be good to see people argue with this. Should be a post in itself.
