Realistic start

There are still a couple of weeks left. I reckon Courtois is a goner and we have to replace him well ... or at least adequately, none of this Joe Hart shlt.

If we are to play 4 at the back, we have to question whether Luiz is strong enough to do so. Azpilicueta is a great right back but we need a proper left sided defender and I'm not sure that either Alonso or Emerson can do that.

In midfield, we probably need another top box to box player while we should cut loose Bakayoko. Maybe with Jorginho, Kante and say Barkley, Fabregas, Loftus Cheek and one more, we will have more than enough. It probably should have been Mount but he's gone.

As for forwards, we are crying out for a proper centre forward. I think Morata is a good player but lacks the physicality for the Premier League. I like Tammy Abraham as back up with Batshuayi but we need a top striker. The big question marks are around Hazard and Willian. At the prices being bandied around, I can see us cashing in on Willian - he's nearly 30 and truth be told, he's class on his day but does not score enough and is not consistent enough. I don't think Madrid will front up the cash we are demanding and I think Hazard will stay. Again, if they offered anywhere near the 200 million we're looking for, I'd bite their hands off and invest in the team. But at 100-120m, it's just not worth losing him. I also think that this could be a big year for CHO.

Now that would be my perfect summer but it's not going to happen. Shame as I reckon that we'd only be about 50m down net spend if we managed to do the business.

Relax, We were right in the hunt for 2nd until Conte sacrificed the season to make a point to the board that we weren't good enough.

So pessimistic.

Next you'll be telling me it'll take 3-4 years for us to get back challenging like some posters did in 2016. We get off to a good start this season we will finish top 3.

We'll win the league anyway tbh 14/1 is massive

Ronny knows full well we'll get top 4 etc, he's just been pessimistic to play our chances down and for attention, some people do that

City wont have the same season as last, so anything is possible. If Aguero gets injured then theyll suffer, they wernt anywhere near as convincing without him last season, of course hes a fantastic player.
