2018/2019 how will it end?

So here we are again another new season on the horizon.

Just after the end of the season I asked you where you would think Forest would finish this season. Most at the time said top 10 or that they were looking for some stability.

Well the summer transfer window is nearing its end and Forest have done what they promised and have thrown caution to the wind and signed 10 players including grabban and a £50 million midfield in the three Portuguese lads to raise the fans expectations and create an excitement which arguably has not been seen since the two playoff seasons.

So as I said in May what are our expectations now? Once again as a bit of fun give a position rather then top x.

Even I will admit I'm hoping Forest can have a good go at it and aim for the playoffs. However as I said give a position but because I'm cautious I'll go that my prediction is forest finish 6th.

I would not be disappointed let's just say if we were to finish higher however

The squad hasnt been together long and even though Aitor has said he has the 1st 11 in his mind i expect there to be changes. Hopefully a positive effect with competition for places is that desire to play for the shirt will be greater.
I expect the portuguese kids to take a while to get used to real championship competition but when they do they will shine. However they havn't experienced a real british winter yet of the like which affected Wolves form for a while.
I'm not convinced concerning the defence situation. Centrally I am but the fullbacks not so much. I hope they prove me wrong.
I am liking the central core of the team. Senior pros gives me a bit of confidence even though the outfield players are almost all past their prime. Murphy and Watson worry me. I would have Watson play a lot less games than he did last season and bring Bridcutt and Yates in.
Murphy needs to get his act together incase something happens to Grabban.
Top half for me and a real promotion push next season.

8th for me

Lots of good teams in there already. The Portuguese players very promising but not proven in this league. Will take a while to gel. Karanka tends to be safety first so will get a few more draws while the team is working itself out. Fans will start getting on the teams back if we are not top 6 by October. But I think we will get better as the season goes on and may add players in Jan. Always the potential to do better than 8th.

6 points off the sheep though! Lampard doesn’t know what a derby is. He won’t know what hit him!

Karanka is aiming for top six without question, that is robably his remit. Difficult to pass judgement when we haven't played a competitive match yet!

I'll say top eight.

8th. Tough start but finish well, ready for promotion push following season. Lots of good teams in this league so it’s goikg to be very tough. I’m still not convinced by our back 4 but hope they prove me wrong. Also I hope Lollley is given a chance seeing as he was our best signing last season but now seems down pecking order

Playoff positions

3) Forest
4) Villa
5) Derby
6) Leeds

We beat Leeds over two legs, meet Derby at Wembley draw 4-4 and win on Pens (Keogh missing vital kick for the sheep)

Nailed on....
