Reports across the board suggesting a £7m bid for Ronny from Sampdoria has been accepted.
No doubt if this goes through this place will blow up...personally I'm not worried about losing Vieira as I personally don't think he's good enough to get us to where we need to get to. Just my opinion.
What could concern me is whether the club has to sell to make the funds for Bamford or whether the funds generated from Ronny would allow us to go out and get the midfielder required to get us to where we want to get to.
I'm hoping it's a case that Bielsa has looked at the team and doesn't feel Ronny is going to feature and in which case should we take the money? Strange that he was given the no 8 shirt though if this is all true.

Or we will not sign a CB as Bielsa is also known for trying out CM in the CB role. So far he has Forshaw & Philips there, who knows.

Gutted about this. Same old, same old.
He's got a bit of everything a midfielder needs. Pace, strength, passing, can run with the ball, can tackle. Last season, he was poor and struggled with his injury. But when he plays well, he's miles above our other centremids and at only 20 years old. Will get better.
In a few years time, a Prem club will sign him from Sampdoria for double the price and he'll be brilliant.

I was hoping this would be the season he realised all his potential so it's a shame.
If the money is reinvested then it's less of a blow, but if it's just to fund Bamford then Radz has questions to answer because it would mean we haven't actually spent anything.

It seems Vieira is happy at his position at the club and wants to stay. So this seems to me that the club are trying to cash in on him in my opinion, very sad short sightness i think.

Viera has shown promise but I have to question whether he's moved his game in line with that, particularly last season.
Not good to see "home grown" talent move on but player sales are the life blood of this club as it stands at the moment.
If Viera going to Italy is the catalyst for further squad strengthening then that's potentially a good move. If he's being sold to stave off bids for the likes of Jansson, then grudgingly it's a price we have to pay.
