Looks like he's staying till 2020, must say before sarri came in I thought Pedro would be off. His best years are behind him but he's a tidy player, very good goal scorer and seems happy enough with a squad roll so it makes sense to keep him on for another year

Before the summer started I would’ve liked to get rid of one of Willian/Pedro and replace with a young talent..and like you I’m surprised Pedro didn’t end up leaving, he had a poor season last season and it felt like he was coming to the end of his time at Chelsea

System/style of play suits Pedro down to the ground. He's used to pressing high up as he did whilst playing for Barca and he's got the ability to score goals from the wide position as he shown so far in pre-season.
Like you guys, I think his best years are past him but with Willian's future uncertain it's probably best we keep him as he can become a useful player for us this season.

Pedro ,great player to have in the squad for all reasons .

Agreed with everyone. Not the player he was but wasn't a world beater to begin with, still good enough at what he's always been good at. Nice tidy player to have in the squad, no complaints.
Suits Sarri's style most importantly. Will play the same role Callejon did at Napoli, essentially the same role he played at Barcelona.

He's the perfect stop gap whilst CHO is being bled into the team.
Scores some big goals, although my only criticism is he's not great off the bench.

I like Pedro and want him to stay beyond 2020 as a Chelsea first team player. His work ethic and professionalism is second to none.

This renewal also means that come next summer we can probably sell him for 20-25m if he has a half decent season, if no contract extension he goes on a free

Decent business, Hopefully it's the start of new contracts being signed.
Hazard and Kanté next, In an ideal world Courtois would sign his but I think he'll stay and head next season on a free.
