Ampadu

What a great player he could be, every time iv seen him he's looked good. Admittedly usually he gets played against poorer teams. But last night against a very good front 3 he was brilliant. If you were offered him or Christiansen as a starter it seems a no brainer to me. It's like watching a seasoned pro in a 17 year olds body. Directing other player's, vocal, reads the game very well, strong, calm and great on the ball. Would love to see him compete with Luiz for a first team place this season. Big claim but he has all the quality's to be our next JT.

Ampadu is brilliant, He played Centre Mid v Everton in the Carabao cup against a strong Everton team and stood out, Always found space in midfield to play the game at his tempo.

Yeah he's very good. No doubt. Still very young of course but definitely one who should establish himself. How highly Sarri rates him remains to be seen. Let's hope he does.

I would rather see Chelsea give a proper chance to Ruben Loftus Cheeks and Abraham lad before giving too much exposure to Ampadu who needs to be looked after and not pressurised like we did with Joshua McEachren.

McEachran wasn't pressurised, he just wasn't good enough.

Superb he was good enough but he didn't fulfill his potential!

My only concern with Ampadu is that he tends to make one reckless challenge per game. I'm sure it's just youthful exuberance, but if he's playing with the first team he needs to stay calm for the full 90+ minutes.
But I agree with everyone else here - even at 17 he seems like a leader and has a great future ahead of him.
