Celtic 1 v 1 AEK Athens

I’ve calmed down a little after last night. I wasn’t actually raging as we played very, very well first half but as per we concede a goal from absolute schoolboy defending and it grinds my gears.

I can’t help but feel, Boyata, even jozo and big Dembele would have made such a difference last night. I thought Edouard was very poor, nothing seemed to come off for him at all and it was just one of those nights. Griffiths came on later on but all he did was stay offside and miss a sitter

I’ll come to the diddy at the back in a minute but Kris Ajer had a moment last night me really needs to bounce back from. He started the game terrifically well but there’s no excuses for that mistake, just awful, completely oblivious to why he lets a ball come across him in our flicking box. He was terrible after it too, head was gone and confidence shot to pieces.

As for his partner, that boy is an absolute travesty, get him out the team and out the club before the window closes, he’s by far the worst centre half we’ve had since big Rafael.

Positives, there were a few, Ntcham was terrific again, KT was very good and Brown was back to his very best. Also a mention to McGregor in the first 30 minutes, he was unbelievable and should have had a few more goals.

I’m very down about our chances next week as it’s pretty much the same team we’ll have with Ajer also suspended. We will need to score 2 at least to go through imo, need to hope for one of those nights it all goes for us.

I thought they were a decent side, good movement and passing and their two strikers were very good. That number 10 was exceptional, ragdolled everyone near him.

Oh well, good game to bounce back to on Saturday and the board better get the finger out as well because if they do g they will have serious problems from the fans the next few weeks.
