Neville & his Friend Top 4 Prediction

No surprise from them leaving out Chelsea like every other pundits despite a decent start to the season.

Last season, we lost to both Burnley and Bournemouth at home and drop points at lesser grounds; where we were expected to pick atleast minimum of a point. Finished 5points below Liverpool who finished fourth.

Early days, but I don't see this repeating this season. While pundits are entitled to their analysis, I also think most of them speak with their hearts.
1. Mancity
2. Liverpool,
3. Manchester United
4. Tottenham

Lol the signs were there last season........why would you have United anywhere near the top 4? I thought these guys are supposed to be some sort of experts? City, United and Pool I get - but United were no better than us and we realised we were sheet and had lots to do. Do they think Pogba with a WC winners medal would be the difference?

Wouldn't shock me if we didn't get top 4. infact I don't think it would bother me, least it would lead to a change of manager.

Chelsea at this stage look more likely to usurp united to a top 4 spot. Would Spurs as well but they have a settled team with Poch who always has them punching above their weight but we look good at this point in the season.

2016 it was all about Jose vs Pep with Klopp as a darkhorse. Conte and Chelsea were afforded barely any recognition in the race.

While i don't think they will win it this time you'd have thought they would have learned their lesson.

I wouldn't take these guys too seriously, they are not exactly the Brains Trust !, but they are entitled to their opinions .r

Although I do not think it’s as cut and dry as the “experts” have made the top 4 predictions it’s probably fair enough.

We finished 5th last year and although we brought players in we still lost world class keeper and are playing a new system with a defence that might not be up to it.

Saying that I don’t think united are at the races this year and I feel there will be a drop off from spurs as both seem to have stood still, I am optimistic but not convinced of a top 4 finish.

Europa Cup might be the ace in the hole, I’d obviously take that and finish 5th over 3rd or 4th.

Let them underestimate us

Last two times we were written off by these 'experts' at this stage we ended up lifting the title

Got the Europa to deal with this season, it is well annoying.

The usual problem is usually having 3 days rest, 4 max. As opposed to 3 days bare minimum from CL games, sometimes 6 days.

Listening to a podcast the other day, they said the players hate it too. They do not get a weekend at all

I wouldn`t take any of notice of pundits and their predictions. None of them usually have Spurs top four, and they always seem to make it these days. Chelsea have as much chance as Liverpool have of finishing top four, probably even more, as most of their players are battled hardened and used to winning trophies.

I'm not sure why pundits have Utd in the top 4 at all... Not sure if it's because it's Manchester Utd or because they still rate Mourinho as a top class modern manager.

We will finish top 3, We dropped some very stupid points last season which will not be repeated this season due to change of tactics. We will maximise our chances of beating the lesser sides by strangling them with possession.

It's probably too soon for the title, Especially with Europa League... At the end of the season if we finish top 3, Have a style of play fully implemented and a Europa League trophy then I'd consider it a hugely productive season.
