Those goals were completely and utterly our CBs faults. I want Jose out for his style of play as me as the next guy, but that was shocking shocking defending from our CBs for both goals.
Corner came from a lack of awareness of the runners, poor marking of Kane for the goal and the EXACT same mistake watching runners for the 2nd goal.
A manager can only tell his team what to do, and until he 50th it was working perfectly. I still obviously want him gone but he’s gonna get unnecessary flack for this likely result.
EDIT: Lindelofs backpass and Smalling inability to deal with Moura only further proves this. At the other end you could add Lukakus open goal.
He should, but I still don’t see Jose getting the sack. Bring in a DOD and an attack minded coach as soon as possible.
Creating this before the critics come in

First goal was Jones fault, second was Herrera as he played everyone onside. He shouldn't have been playing there as Valencia was on the pitch.
3rd goal was a sucker punch and if Smalling had brought him down he would have been sent off. We lost the ball in midfield.
The problem is the manager. 2 of the CBs played their first competitive games of the season against a well established side.
He needs to go. Our midfield and attack do not work well together and the midfield does not screen the defence.
That's down to his tactics

You're spot on Baz. Criticism of Jose for poor CB errors after he's spent two years with most of them and deemed them not good enough and wanted better is just irrational.
Blame him for the team structures and style of play. For team selections or substitutions. There's ample to take digs at him, it's just pathetic reading people make up reasons to take digs at him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not irrational because he has had enough time, and spent hundreds of millions, and I cannot name one purchase he has made which I would care about if they left tomorrow. Seriously what quality players who have noticeably improved united has he bought? Pogba looks lost half the time, Sanchez looks like his legs have gone, 60 million pounds worth of cb are hopeless.
He has spent hopelessly, we still don't know what formation/players to play, and we're going backward.
He needs to be sacked and we need to move on, the problem is we are hopeless from top to bottom so we extended his contract last season instead.

guys
the bottom line is utd today tried to do something the have not done to enough of and as a result were clueless and lacked the cohesion in execution
jose has adopted the bus parking approach for the last 2 years and while teams around us were improving as a footballing side we have be regressing but some didn't realise since we were still getting faux results.

I partly do too. I hate the way he speaks about players. However the they are doing a stellar job of vindicating him.

One amplifies the other tho... Confidence is clearly shot to bits, just like Rashford end of last season, Martial from January
I've never been a massive Jones fan... Smalling is a good defender though, as is Bailly although when either have a stinker they really do have an absolute shocker
I hate the sight of Lindelof... Not his fault in fairness, he's just not a premier league centre half
Blind was a good foil for both Smalling and Bailly tbh, steady and calm ... And good on the ball... But he was an LVG guy so...

I don't think he's the only problem either... I do think he's brought a lot on himself with poor man management tho
Shaws played well so far... But I don't think the tough love is the reason... If its took 2 seasons of bullying maybe a different approach may have worked a little faster... Or maybe he is as thick as legend has it
Agree with the settled partnership thing tho... The constant chopping and changing (even with injuries) does us no favours

I wanted him after Fergie for exactly the same reason... At that time he'd lost the dressing room at Madrid, but Madrids like that anyway so didn't read too much into it
The us against the world attitude was a Fergie thing too, thought it would be perfect
Actually think it still could have worked then tbh
Wanted him this time round too despite having reservations about how it ended at Chelsea
I just think he's not "Jose" any more... No charm, no humour, no getting his players fighting for him... Always used to think he was sharp and reactive tactically during games (think of the way he switched Reals tactics against us after Nanis red card), don't see much of that anymore either
He just seems miserable, dishing out blame constantly... Doesn't seem to enjoy football anymore

More to do with shaw himself than Jose. I’m still not convinced by shaw anyway, he’s too limited, though he’s started well enough, though not that well when compared to the likes of Robertson and other fullbacks on the league..
